Diabloesque Chaos: First Impressions of Path of Exile 2

Ok, if you're a fan of Diablo then you're gonna feel right at home with Path of Exile 2. Set in the grim and unforgiving world of Wraeclast, players must survive ancient evils, grotesque monsters, and dark magic. The story centers on uncovering Wraeclast’s mysteries, battling powerful foes, and seeking revenge or redemption.

The Good Stuff

The leveling feels exciting and rewarding rather than grinding. The possibilities for builds and progression feels endless, and I'm excited to check out some co-op with the guys. The onboarding is solid and the graphics are beautiful. I found myself constantly admiring the environments and lighting effects.

The Not-So-Good Stuff

Why is M for microtransactions instead of the map? That's pretty lame for key bindings. The HUD could also use some work. Same goes for the menu options. They feel a bit clunky and could be spruced up to make navigation smoother. There were also some server crashes and a little lag at times.

Final Thoughts

Overall, it feels fantastic. Between the different classes and builds, graphics, gameplay, and growth potential, I’m hyped to keep playing! Stay tuned for more impressions as we play through it!
